From the beginning in 1994, the festival's philosophy was that a fine, handcrafted beverage should always be enjoyed in glass.  For how else can the taster both see and smell the beverage, but in real glass?  A small taster glass from Libby was used the first four years with only the logo changing from all white printing to full color.

Starting with the festival's 5th anniversary, the basic premise was expanded to provide the public the European experience of enjoying its brews in dedicated beer-styled glassware.  From 1999 on, the festival has presented a different glass style each year from Rastal Glassworks in Germany.  The styles over the years have ranged from tall, wheat and pilsner styles to mid-sized tumblers and from stemmed goblets to classic tankards, all with full-color logos and embellished with gold.

Tom Dalldorf, publisher and editor of the Celebrator Beer News said, "There is no festival to equal the Spring Beer & Wine Fest when it comes to glassware."
